something old – something new
I’ve learned now that I will have to update my blog from wordpress 2.6 to wordpress 2.7 in order to make posting from my iPhone possible.
This is a good thing. Because it gives me a reason to learn how to update and even more important how to actually back up the blog in the first place!
I’m ashamed in admitting that I haven’t backed up this blog at all yet. After month and month of pouring my heart into it… Or something like this.
So I would like to assure everyone that I will try my uttermost best not to screw this up, but… oh well.. here goes nothing!
Ta-DA! A few hours later, with the usual interruptions and the blog is up & running in glorious WordPress 2.7.
I would be lying if I’d say I’m not proud of myself actually doing it without bigger cock-ups.
Well done, Eehad. The design would fit into a library wouldn’t you think so?
It reminds me of a room full of Billy (from IKEA) packed with books, an open fireplace with a decent cracking fire, a big comfortable red-brownish leather armchair, outside the windows its cloudy and rainy… or perhaps it’s after dark with a clean calm moon and only a few clouds.
Myself sitting in the armchair dressed in a robe reading a nice book – perhaps some fantasy or a detective story – and having a dram of whisky. And I think a pipe would fit into this scene as well.
You may add a hound or two or a big fat cat sleeping in front of the fireplace.
Btw. Labi would add an oriel to the room with big windows and window ledge big enough to sit on it.
Whats your image of the perfect library?
The ideal library huh? Well I agree with both of you on most. Fireplace, Animals, plenty of Billys of course! The window has to be pointing east to assure clear view of the sunrise. And no PC, not even a laptop. How bout one of them little elevators to receive your teapot and biscuits from the kitchen?
Even if that means you have to go downstairs, make the tea, run upstairs again and receive it while calling yourself ‘James’.
Hm I liked the old design … this one is booooooooooooooooooooring!
